A Group of 10 from St German’s comprising of parishioners and friends from Barry and Penarth joined parishioners from St Mary’s and St Saviour’s Churches on a pilgrimage to Glastonbury, all setting out from Cardiff at 8:30am.

The day for us started at Noon with the Angelus and a Procession of Witness through Glastonbury followed by Concelebrated Holy Eucharist sung in the Nave of the Abbey Church. The Principal Concelebrant and Preacher was The Assistant Bishop of Newcastle, The Right Reverend Paul Richardson.

At 3:45pm there were Pilgrim Prayers and Benediction again sung in the Nave of the Abbey Church, the Officiant being The Right Reverend David Silk, Chairman of the Glastonbury Pilgrimage Association

We could not fail to have a wonderful day; the weather was perfect as was the picnic and the company. Roll on next year!.
